I just heard this Billy Connolly song for the first time (Thanks to Josh at Neokilts!)

Any idea what CD or DVD it is on? I've tried google, but no luck.

I did a bit of searching myself, particularly on Billy Connolly's website & Amazon UK. There's a lot of Billy Connolly CDs & DVDs available, but none of them have Connolly's parody of Alanis Morissette's "Hand In My Pocket" on them.

Seems that the easiest way to get the song is through YouTube.

Or, if you're into P2P file sharing, there's plenty of BitTorrent sites you can download it from.

If the audio from YouTube is any indication, I'd say the source for this song was "unofficial."

I'm a really REALLY open minded kind of guy. I'm also well known for having a rather twisted and skewered sense of humor. But, I found the "Hand in my Pocket" parody to be simply garbage.

It started off pretty funny, but became ridiculous by the chorus.

I know its claimed on many sites to be sung by Billy Connolly. I think the reason why you find it hard to find on his site is that its not Billy singing it. I've listened to it many times and as far as I'm concerned it's just not his voice.

I've only ever been lucky enough to see him live once, around 25 years ago and had to translate for the current girlfriend right through his act.

He has a great way with hecklers "I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days" being the one I remember.
