    Talking Plaid Party

So maybe it's a crazy idea, but it was a lot of fun. The idea in my circle lately has been to have themed parties. 80's theme has been done to death, so I tried a new thing and threw a plaid theme party for Alban Arthuan.

What ended up happening was a lot of people came wearing plaid, but more people borrowed plaid things of mine. My friends eventually got curious and wanted to try the kilts on for themselves. I have 4 kilts, and three of them were worn throughout the course of the night by different people.

He he ... so maybe none of them will ever buy a kilt of their own. But it's still something I'll look back on proudly, knowing that some of my friends wore their first kilts and had a good time because of me.

These are two of my friends. On the left is a Sport Kilt, and on the right is a Stillwater.

This is me showing off my What Price Glory McKenzie, with socks and flashes from Sport Kilt.

That McKenzie looks awsome...you wear it well, too.

Good that you can get some of your buddies to try the kilt...I still can't convince any of mine or my eighteen year old son to give it a try...of course, most of my buddies are - shall we say - a bit "thicker" about the middle than I am so they can't really try any of mine on...

My stepson (14) is into looking different (except for now, he "just" has a shaved head - and it's not even the Mr.Clean look) but I get no reaction (like I would, from him) when I go kilted - some of his friends have noticed, but, I'm afraid I've made it not cool, since I got to it first.

Great pics R.C. It looks like your plaid party was a success even though most of the plaid was yours. Who knows you have at least broken down some barriers and your friends might even think about getting kilts of their own.

Yeah, that was the idea. ^_^ If nothing else, the kilt now has a place in our social circle.

I like your thinking! Perhaps it may go over with the older gents here on the board. Hmmmm the wheels are turning.

BTW you look good in yours, but I'm not surprised, as you are a regular Kilted guy.
