Sung at, at work
Hi all
I have had some funny reactions from people when wearing a kilt, but this one takes the cake so far.
I came into work and Sara one of the wee lassies I work with starts to sing
Donald whaurs yer troosers. It just about had me rolling on the floor, everyone here has become accustomed to seeing me kilted, so now they are getting creative with their reactions to me.
For those of you not familiar with the song it can be found here:

All I can say is it makes me want the Isle of Skye tartan that much more, but we are in the midstof busy season so hopefully the overtime will pay for a new kilt or two.

Yes, youngsters used to sing that one in Scotland but I haven't heard it for a long time now; maybe that's a good sign that seeing an old guy in a kilt is no longer an issue now that so many of the young ones wear kilts themselves for clubbing, rugby, etc.

sequel...
If you really want to stump her, ask her she knows the "sequel" to the song, "Andy [Stewart], where's yer kilt?"

I am switching with someone at work next week, and I will be on Sara's shift, we used to have an international night so I think this weekend coming I might try to get that done, but we do have a strict policy aganst photos at work.

It sure does, one thing about wearing the kilt on a regular basis to work is the comments I get from the women I work with.

Any time the lassies react like that to a kilted man--especially if he's me--my heart is lighter and the world is brighter.
