Is mise Ted Henderson
Greetings from the great SanJuaquin valley- California! Hmmm- looks like a good spot to relax in fer awhile! I've lurked about here a bit and decided it's time to say hallo. Since we're spread so thinly across this great continent, it's good to have these forums where clansmen can come together over the ethernet to share our enthusiasms, love for the kilt, general and specific kinship and what not...
And a great hello to all the Henderson Clansmen here- be ye of Glencoe, Fordel, or whatever ancestorship- Clanna nan Gaidheal ri guaillibh a che'ile!
Children (clans) of the Gaels shoulder to shoulder!

I'll be the first to offer a hardy WELCOME! I think you'll enjoy it here. A great group of lads (and a few lassies!) I'm a proud Henderson, and proud member of the Clan Henderson Society of the USA! Great to see more MacEaunrigs here! Seeing as you are a fellow Henderson. I would like to shamelessly direct you to my recent thread about my Matt Newsome box pleat in the Henderson weathered tartan.

Ach! What a lucky fellow you are indeed! The weathered tartan is surely a good example of Henderson excellence in colors! You have, of course, seen the other tartan varieties we Clansmen have to choose from?
Ancient, modern, weathered, and dress?
I'm just an old Mutt trying to find my place in this great heritage of ours, so I don't have any cool tartans to speak of YET! I bought a Henderson ancient kilt from sport kilt and rounded it out with a Henderson tartan sash to throw over the shoulder. It might be polyviscose, but I'm the handsomest character on the block when I don the colors for a barbeque or whatever! (I stress the word CHARACTER)
Glad to meet another Henderson clansman here!

Yes- I am happy to see someone else using the resources on the ethernet. I mostly, though, use the software I bought for my laptop. I am a slow learner so it's taken me about a year to get to where I am now- basically still a beginner. I have "101 languages of the world" which includes a course in beginners Gaidhlig. I can hear the correct pronumciation of the words just like on the beagh_air_beagh site, but I don't have to be online.
