Jimmy Carbomb?
So, whatever happened to Jimmy Carbomb? He was a presence here when I first showed up, I know he was a) a musician, b) a Sportkilt enthusiast, c) various and sundry other things, but he's been most notable lately for his absence. (I won't get into the whole "absence of evidence is not evidence of absence" thing, so there.)
Or is that as touchy a subject as Bear Kilts lead time?

K C,
People come, people go, and sometimes they return. That's the way of internet forums. There have been members who I have have missed when they stopped posting. I have sent them a PM with a message that I hope they are well and their input is missed. Sometimes I get a reply, sometimes not, and sometimes they do come back with new tales to tell.
Cheers
Jamie

Wish that's the way it worked with Spouses and/or girlfriends. No phone call; kicked out of her life! Whu? I was only away for a day!
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

Was there a need to poke at a sleeping dog?

Oh, we poke sleeping dogs here, we thrash throughly dead horses, we trod back and forth on the same track till we've run a rut so deep we can't see out of it.
It's a good thing we have adult supervision.

For an idea of what Jimmy is up to:

It looks like he retired to drink, smoke, play the pipe and wear the kilt full-time. In short, he's living the Irish-American dream.

Wasn't trying to kick any sleeping dogs! I'm quietly hoping that Bear is able to get Bear Kilts up and running again, and a Celto-Canadian Kilted Juggernaut.
