Want to be famous?
Ok... maybe not FAMOUS, famous, but a little more well known? We're getting ready to update our site again (wait till you guys see what we do THIS time) and we're also updating our customer gallery. If you have a new pic of yourself and want me to add it to our customer gallery, send it to: rocky@usakilts.com
FYI... site will be updated as our web guy goes down the "priority list", so you'll start to see new products around the end of this month through the beginning of Oct.

What if we don't actually have a USAK? Could I be the model for Body Glide?

First of all ccga3359, that was VERY funny and VERY creepy at the same time.
Hints... hmmm... Some of the items will be "stocked" in our store, but many will be special order. We'll have a great kilt page ("did they finally figure out where to get the Braveheart movie tartan from?") , a "clan crest" products page, an expanded sporrans page (actually 4 pages... Leather Day Sporrans, Semi Dress Sporrans, Dress Sporrans, Full Mask Sporrans), MAYBE a "Package Deal page", and a few little things to make it more "kilt newbie" friendly as WELL as "gift shopper" friendly. We'll also have 1 or 2 BIG surprises... but they probably won't be ready until January. Still waiting on final approval on certain things. All in all, you guys should enjoy it.
Unfortunately, we've only added 2 more tartans to the Tartan Gallery... American Heritage and MacPherson Hntg... but you'll like how they are DETAILED (that's a hint about something happening to the Casual and Semi Trad pages...).
Enough teasing... back to sewing and taking pics of new products!

I'm going home this afternoon and take couple pics of me in my American Heritage semi-traditional.
BTW, I wore it for the first time on a visit to D.C. last weekend. It fits and looks fantastic. Even had a little fun walking across a increadibly strong exhast vent in the sidewalk.

For some reason the title of this post makes me think of Emilio Estevez, giggling, in Young Guns, "I'll make you famous!"
Umm, not to imply any connection between Billy the Kid and Rocky Roeger!

This comment immediately made the Bon Jovi tune "Blaze of Glory" fire up in my head.
In "Billy the Kid Country",

Well, me and Billy The Kid never got along:
I didn't like the way he cocked his hat and he wore his gun all wrong.
Well, we had the same girlfriend and he never forgot it.
She had a cute little Chihuahua till one day he up and shot it.
He rode the hard country down the New Mexico line.
He had a silver pocket watch that he never did wind.
He crippled a piano player for playin' his favorite song.
Yeah, me and Billy The Kid, we ain't never got along.
Yeah, me and Billy The Kid never got along:
I didn't like the way he buckled his belt and he wore his gun all wrong.
He was bad to the bone, all hopped up on speed.
I would've left him alone if it wasn't for that senorita:
He gave her silver and he paid her hotel bill.
But it was me she loved: she said she always will.
I'd always go see her whenever Billy was gone
Yeah, me and Billy The Kid, we never got along.
Instrumental break
Yeah, me and Billy The Kid never got along:
I didn't like the way he buckled his boots an' he wore his gun all wrong.
One day, I said to Billy: "I got this foolproof scheme.
"We'll rob Wells Fargo, it's bustin at the seams."
I admit that I framed him and I don't feel bad
because the way I was livin' was drivin' me mad.
Yeah, Billy reached for his gun but his gun was on wrong.
Yeah, me and Billy The Kid, we never got along.
Well, me and Billy The Kid never got along:
But I did like the way he swayed in the wind while I played him his favorite song.
Now my baby sings harmony with me, to "La Cucaracha".
She winds her silver pocket watch and pets her new Chihuahua.
I moved into the hotel, I got a room with a shower.
We lay an' listen to that watch tick hour after hour.
Outside, I hear the wind blowin' oh so strong:
Me and Billy The Kid, we never got along!
We never got along.
