    The Saint kilted clip

I was idly watching an old episode of the Saint recently, when suddenly I noticed kilts on the screen! The plot revolved around the theft of 24 kilts in order for a gang to pose as a Highland regiment. Of course Simon Templar became involved, infiltrated the gang and donned a kilt into the bargain.

Here is a short clip from the episode showing Roger Moore in a kilt along with Tony Britton and many others. Hope you enjoy it!

That was pretty good, Martin! I don't remember seeing that episode. The comment about their sgian's was interesting, because they were wearing them on the right. I guess that's TV! In my old regiment, enlisted men were not allowed to wear them without obtaining special permission in writing.

I am not well up on military regulations Macman, but I understood that the sgian dubh was to be worn according to the dominant hand of the wearer, i.e. a right-handed man wears his sgian dubh to his right and a left-handed to the left.

A great clip. The kilts were worn well, which is more than can be said for the Para Officers beret.

I could email the file to you if you wish. It's about 8Mb in size.
I have no plans to remove it from photobucket though. The link is http://s180.photobucket.com/albums/x...rent=saint.flv

Very interesting. I used to watch the Ssint a lot, back when, but I missed that one. The comment made early in the clip, something to the effect, "your chaps seem a bit more regimental than mine" seemed to have a double meaning. And, did anyone else notice the guy wearing tartan trews?
