    I need help.

My husband has a Celtic cross tattoo on the inside of his right forearm. I started drawing the design a few years ago and never actually finished it. He went ahead and got it tattooed...unfinished. In the center, where the cross intersects is a hole. A circle actually, with nothing in it. What in the world should we put in it. We've been trying to figger out a design to fill the hole for almost two years now. I posted a picture of the tattoo a while back...a long while back. I really don't have the attention span to search for it so if you really want to see it, it's here somewhere.

Any ideas are welcome, we're getting kinda desperate. I'm thinking a smilie face would suffice, but he's not interested in my ideas anymore. They're getting kinda rediculous.

A picture is worth a thousand words! Show us what you have now, then the ideas will pop out of the woodwork!

    Dirka,

Nice to see you back on the forum!

If the cross is an expression of his faith perhaps a quote or even just a word that expresses this?

    Cheers

What word? Any ideas? I can't think of any one word that's good enough. It would have to be full of meaning and inspire thought and frankly, I've been trying for almost two years to come up with a single word and all I've come up with is, "duuhhhhh."

    Dirka,

What I'm suggesting is that if Celtic Menace has this because it is a symbol of HIS faith, then he should reflect on his faith and see if there what is meaningful to him. You don't have to do everything!

    Cheers

I rather like the knot in your avatar.
Is that too much knot work?

Any kids? I ask because maybe a solid cross thru the middle with a bit of knot work surrounding birthstones around the solid cross. Or maybe just birthstones intertwined with knot work without the solid cross in the middle. I think I’ve seen a Celtic cross with a heart in the middle. Maybe have some birthstones surrounding a heart.

No kids or fondness of the stones...maybe a mix of something modern that peaks his interest like relating to a hobby or a symbol of something that has touched his heart/life (other than you of course).
