University of Michigan tartan

As some of you know, I am trying to get the University of Michigan to adopt a tartan. On a whim, I designed one, and was wondering what y'all thought about it. UM's colors are blue and maize, so I basically just worked with that.

Here it is!

I quite like it. Try adding another colour stipe though, see if it pops.

Then two black stripes to represent the demise of the competition . A red stripe would be fine. It'd only be as wide as the white. The blue and maize are the dominant colours don't worry if the other guys are red (or green). The colours should symbolize something if that helps.

I'm not sure if it is perhaps just my monitor, but it merits mentioning: make sure the blue is our very deep Michigan blue!

How about scarlet and silver? Those would make it pop! GO BUCKEYES!!!

Interesting, what about adding a white stripe in the blue field and pleating to that. Have the golden maize flash from the kilt swing.
