Seen on American Idol
For about 1.5 seconds in a montage from the South Carolina auditions. Not going to Hollywood.

Yeah, my in-laws told me about it. Kilt, tights and tennis shoes is all they could tell me I wonder if they were green?

Hey folks, I am new to the site, but I noticed that you saw me on American Idol. I wore a kilt, because I compete in highland games all over the US, mostly down here in the south. I figured it would be something different, and thought it was funny that most of the people there hadn't seen someone in a kilt before. The way they put the show on air was totally different than what happened though. Not the part of me hacking up the Carrie Underwood song, but the rest was different. Oh well, just doing my part to spread the good word of kilts and highland games. Hope it works.

Brave lad - I couldn't work up the nerve to sing in front of _anyone_....
BTW - what do you compete in at Highland games?

Welcome to the forum! I saw you. Was that a Sportskilt you were wearing? And tartan?

I've heard that about the audition shows - that what you see on TV has little to do with what really happened.
So, tell us - did you actually get to sing in front of the Triumvirate of Pop? If so, what did they say about your kilt?
And what really happened, after all?
Regards and welcome,
Rex.
