Royal Scots Dragoon Guards concert
The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Band and the Band of the Coldstream Guards played in San Antonio this evening. I was pleasantly surprised at the number of men in kilts that showed up. The show was great. The part I really enjoyed was when they played the songs of each of the US Military services and seeing the members of that service stand up. The theater seats a bit over 2500 and it looked to me that a larger percentage stood than didn't. The Air Force was the most represented, but San Antonio has a larger AF presence than any other service. Overall it was a great show and an evening well spent. The pic is my wife and I prior to heading out the door. The kilt is Campbell Ancient (purchased at Anderson's in Dumfries), the jacket is from Avance Highland wear (left the vest in the closet), and the sporran was purchased at the Scottish Shop in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, GE.

Thanks for the reminder! Just now booked a couple of seats for Friday's show here - after reading your review.
Looking forward to it.

Great performance!
I saw them in Omaha two weeks ago, and I must say they were fantastic. I spoke to several of the members and we had spent time on many of the same operations from 1991 onward.
