Thorfinn Sporran #80 Review
Yesterday, was Kilted Friday and I got to wear my new Thorfinn Sporran that had arrived Thursday. I wore my Buzz Kidder kaki canvas kilt with a plaid shirt. The workmanship is superb, the leather supple and there is plenty of room. Turpin Ballard does great work. The sporran hung by an Oconee Leather Works sporran belt from Cavscout.

With the standard cell phone and pen holders, I had Turpin add business card and Chap Stick holders and the quick release key keeper. Cool!

The photos show those things stowed with room still. I usually have my cell phone on vibrate, so I will wear it on my kilt belt and use the cell phone holder for extra batteries for the digital I always carry. I don’t want the sporran vibrating with an incoming call – woo, wee!!

With Turpin’s snap flap system that allows you to switch out flaps, I had him make me one with my St. Patrick Tartan shown here. Boy is that smart!

As you can see Turpin has numbered the sporran, mine - #80.
Hmm, I know some kilt makers who should consider that.
Great job, Turpin! You can’t go wrong with a Thorfinn Sporran!

Awsome sporran! It's a veritable Batman-style utility belt, inside that thing! Nicely done.
Turpin, it looks like you and I are pretty close to being neighbors, as I live in Dunwoody. Do you happen to have a group of our local brethren, with whom you conduct kilt nights?

Hah! That very same thing happened to me at quite an awquard time, the other day. I was in the middle of doing a scene for my friend George's last film project (he's a GSU film student), and had no sooner been kissed by my lovely co-star (in the middle of a library, of all places), when my groin began to vibrate! I kid you not- it was all caught on film.

Sounds good, congratulations.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
