Irish Tartan poly-viscose kilts... Where to find?
I am looking to obtain a poly-viscose kilt in Irish county tartan. Does anyone know of any where I can find one? Specifically I'm looking for County Clare.

I'm pretty sure that you won't find any of those in p/v stock. As far as I know, those tartans are only available in med. wool.

You can order any of the Irish County Tartans through the Celtic Croft (or any of the vendors here,) what's limited to two, at the Celtic Croft, is their homespun wool tartans.

The only Irish tartan made in quality pv is the Ireland's National from USA Kilts. Rocky custom orders it from MM so it is only available from USA Kilts.

Just as Stillwater is the only one in the US to have Irish National in anything other than wool (he has it in Acrylic), We have the exclusive rights to the Ireland's National in anything other than wool (we have it in MM PV) in North America. The tartan itself is a private tartan and we have obtained the permission to use it.
In the same way, ALL of the Irish County Tartans are privately owned. The people that own them only want them available in wool.
Hope this helps to clarify!

Thank you very much Rocky. That helps a lot. I'm trying to loose weight so I am back down to fit my 36" waist Gunn tank (I'm wearing a 46" now). Until then I won't be buying any wool kilts (maybe a SWK heavy).
Sorry we missed your celtic fest this weekend Rocky. We opted for the closer one that was only a 15 minute drive. Sometime soon I want to make the trip up to your shop. I not long ago lived in Reading PA. So hopefully the next time I visit family we can swing your way.

Rocky at USA kilts can get the Marton Mills County Crest tartans, but they are in 13oz wool. I have the Co Antrim and love it.

Does the topic of "poly-viscose kilts" belong in "Traditional Kilts?"
