I don't think I need the yellow hose right away (although I'm sure I'll have to eventually get a pair).

Now, if you get the extra-long ties in yellow, I'll have to get some of those.

    You're killin' me Matt.

Would these go well with the Lamont Weathered tartan which SWK was offering a while back (maybe still)?

    Matt,

How do you think this would go with the XMTS tartan (the last three previous runs)?

    Cheers

The yellow I've got from the Lewis Hose line look more gold to my eye than these, I have worn them with the X-Marks tartan however I don't have any photos as yet, I often wear yellow garter ties with blue hose and the X-Marks tartan.

I think this color would go great with X Marks. The yellow is a bit more of a softer shade that what is showing in the pic. The small swatch image on the hose page is a better indication of the color, I think:

Matt so graciously twisted my arm while ordering a book, and my yellow hose should be arriving tomorrow. I'll let you know my thoughts soon!

They look great! Not too bright (although I'm not adverse to "bright"), but a nice rich buttercup yellow. We're off on holiday tomorrow, so you'll have to wait for a photo.

    Thanks Matt!

    Best regards,

I too have been wearing yellow, or gold, hose with my XMtS kilt for some time and, I think, to great effect but, like Glen, I have no photos - yet! One thing that yellow hose does is to draw out the fine yellow stripe in the XMtS tartan, and make it a little more prominent.

As for flashes or garter ties: I usually wear the former in a mid-blue shade, or the latter in blue with blue and yellow fringes.

    Take care,
    Ham.
