Proof of a Kilt Fashion Boom

So this weekend I'm home here in little ol' Page, Arizona....a small town of 6,800 deep in the canyonlands.

I'm at the local hospital Health Fair and a lady runs up to me asking, "Are you Riverkilt?" Now that's a question I've never been asked at home. Turns out she's up from Flagstaff and the wife of a new X Marker MacIntosh (??) who I can't find on the members list...but she says he just ordered his first kilt from Kathy Lare. Now that's starting at the top of the line!

A few hours later I'm out at the Wahweap Campground for our AA Campout and an AA guy from Flagstaff comes up to me and asks if I'm wearing a Utilikilt. (It was a USA Kilts Gunn modern semi-trad but close enough). We started talking kilts. I gave him this website and some other vendors to follow up with.

But, the point of this is I live in the DEEP boonies and folks here are talking kilts...okay, they were both from Flagstaff, but that's only 135 miles away....

The kilt boom is happening. Just hard to turn down both common sense and FREEDOM.

There's no denying that the idea of wearing a kilt is incredibly intriguing to a lot of men for whom pants and shorts have been the only clothing option. This will keep happening.

I'm allmost sure there are a lot of men that would wear a kilt if they see a others wearing them.
Me thinks the fear of being seen in a kilt,or what someone might say is keeping many from wearing them.

Soooooo,Lets get them out there guys an show them off.
I promise you i'm doing my part.I own more kilts now than pants.

From a newbie's perspective it sure seems like a boom. Guess I'm part of it!

I kinda don't want a "Fashion boom", it ruins the point for me.

One of the main reasons I wear one is because I want to be different from the norm, away from the mainstream. Then the kilt would be the new pants...

I think there is no need to worry. For the foreseeable future, it will take more guts than most people have to wear kilts. Kilt on all, and show that you are special guys!
