    Celtic Thunder in Phoenix, AZ

Celtic Thunder will be at the Dodge Theatre in downtown Phoenix on Friday, November 28th at 8:00 pm. Tickets range- $37.50, 47.50, 57.50.

A small group of us in the Arizona Rabble were talking about the possibility of going. So I write this by way of information and to gauge interest. The possibilities of pre/post meeting also exist.

I myself have a commitment on that evening, which I will work to change.

    Celtic Thunder, Phoenix November 28th!

    Hi all,

As the title says, Celtic thunder will be coming to Phoenix, AZ, Friday November 28th.

I'm planning on going. Probably get the formal get-up out too. Unfortunatly, my wife can't make it. So, maybe a few of us would like to go together as a group and get tickets??

The prices start at around $34.00 for the "cheap seats" and end around $55 for the higher end ones.

You can buy tickets at Ticketmaster.com, aeglive.com, or call 480-784-4444.

Maybe we could meet at a nearby restaurant for a bite before or after?

It's coming pretty quick, so we'd need to get something organized soon!

Those prices are a steal! Now, a perfect Celtic Thunder night would be for all of you guys to represent the clans and go as a group with a night at a good pub afterwards. Here in Atlanta I saw four others kilted. Imagine a block all flying their colors followed by a rollicking lifting of glasses! Now THAT would be a night to remember!

I looked up Celtic Thunder online because I had never heard of them before. They look like a group of very talented musicians. I'm not entirely sure if it's my cup of tea though. It almost seems like a Celtic Boy Band. I'm not trying to be overly rude, because again I was blown away by their musical talent. They sounded amazing. I think I'm going to have to pass though, especially for that much for a ticket. Dropkick Murphys, and Floggin Molly don't charge that much and they are more my style luckily

I'd still be interested in getting together sometime for a pint though. That is something we definitely have in common.

I would agree that they are a celtic "Boy Band". However, are a bit more "family friendly" than the sorts of Flogging Molly or the Dropkicks. Not that I don't like them, I do in fact. But probably not for young ears!

I would definitely agree this concert looks much more family friendly than a Dropkick Murphys show. If I think that I could get my son to sit still that long I may have reconsidered. Either way I'm sure it'll be a grand time for all that attend, especially if you all join Retro Red for dinner and Whiskey at Seamus' .

Well, I'm definitely up for it. I haven't purchased my tickets yet, but that could be a good thing if we want to sit together as a group. I'm willing to buy a group of tickets. PM me if you're interested & let me know how many tickets to get. I'll wait today (Wednesday, Nov 19th) & tomorrow for responses, than order the tickets tomorrow night.

There's a fine selection of restaurants in the downtown area now, but one I should mention for either an after concert drink or before concert meal is Seamus McCaffrey's - Phoenix's downtown pub. It's within walking distance of the Dodge Theatre, the food is good & they have without a doubt the finest selection of single malt Whisky in the Valley!

Perhaps one of the moderators could link this thread to the one that Thunderbolt has also started.
