They Mean Well....
Coming home from the Verde Valley Highland Games I stopped at the Trading Post in Cameron to freshen up and buy some nibblies for the road.
I'm wearing my U.S. Army tartan kilt.

Cameron Trading Post is a tour bus stop so the place is usually full of folks from all around the World. As I'm leaving a guy coming in sees me and says, "MacGreagor Clan?" in a most friendly way. I responded, "U.S. Army" and he sort of looked again, nodded, and we moved on.
But the point is the encounter with a stranger was entirely positive.
On the way down I'd stopped at the same place and as I was walking in one of the busses was offloading and an extremely attractive blonde lady in her 30s gave me a big smile and said, "I love your outfit!" Before I could respond two tall guys flanked her and led her away as they looked back at me...like maybe I was a nut case for being kilted....but hey, she knew....

Ron, we know very well that you are a nut case. Just not for wearing the kilt - you come by it quite naturally.
You never know who you'll encounter along the way. Coming out of a store this weekend, I passed a Q-tip on the way in. She was eyeing me up and down. I thought I'd get some sort of scowl, but instead she called out to me, "I like your outfit!" I was happy for the compliment, and felt bad for misjudging her at the same time.
Regards,
Rex.

Excellent Ron,
I was leaving the local Lowes on Sunday wearing my Lamont Box-Pleat and a woman said "that is a beautiful tartan". Her husband said nothing but it made my day.
Clan Lamont!

Nice to see another White/Lamont clan fellow here. Seems there are at least a few of us in this neck of the woods (Virginia/NC).

You beat me to the punch. I was thinking the same thing!

Welcome to the nut case clan, Ron ! As a life member myself, it is a good clan to belong to. Being able to even make a guess about tartan names is more than most can do, so it was a good try.

That's very true. But at least we did fall from tree's, majority is still hanging on (like Monkeys).
