Dunsmuir House Games: Nor Cal Rabble
http://www.dunsmuir.org/calendar.htm
http://www.famplosion.com/events/786...Highland-Games
Yours Truly as well as Charlie R. are throwing on Saturday (July 11th), going for some PR's in the Light Weight for Distance and Stones. If I make them, there will be much shouting, body language and taking of liberties with nearby lasses.
The Games continue on Sunday the 12th. Tim_C and hopefully the Kilted Surveyor (Masters 40-49) will be throwing on Sunday, as will Elissa...Charlie's lovely lass and shy little Bethany Owen.
There's a chance we'll be tossing the Sheaf, which you don't see in Nor Cal very often. We'll know more as the event gets closer, the weight over bar standards need to be adapted to reach the necessary height. Yours Truly is supplying the sheafs (and yes "sheafs" is the plural of sheaf, not "sheaves"!)
I've never actually been to the Dunsmuir House Games, so we shall see....

The Guild of St. Gyles Royal Lancers (The Royal Court of Mary, Queen of Scots) will be having a squiring ceremony and a REAL wedding on Saturday the 11th and the Lancers will be inspected and sworn in by Her Royal Majesty on Sunday afternoon at 4 pm. If you are in the area of the Living History come by and greet Her Majesty and do bring the littles to receive Queen's favors and have their picture taken.

Can't make it this year. Hey Alan, when are you going to organize a return to the St. George Distillery?
Best regards,
Jake

I'm thinking we'll likely be there on Saturday. I need one day off without any plans this month, just to regroup and recover, so we won't be there on Sunday.
And I want to go to St. George's again too!
Be well,
Star

Saturday is good. I will be there Saturday and my sailing friend...in fact one of my very best friends, Synthia the sailing goddess will be there with her friend...and another good bud of mine, Sylvia. They're a hoot, you guys will love them. Synthia was Race ChairMistress of the Singlehanded TransPac last summer.
I believe we're not doing hammers at Dunsmuir, so the athletic evens will be over a bit early, and I fully plan on latching on to random lasses such as any flame-haired ones that might possibly be around and dragging them out in front of Tempest and shaking my kilted booty without any adult supervision........which I almost never get to do any more, now that I'm throwing.

Yeah. That's what I'd like to know, too.

I had visions of this being in Dunsmuir, California; up the hill from Redding. I have yet to make a games this year. Scooby is sounding reluctant at the moment but it is past his bedtime; perhaps I can convince him in another couple of days.
Hopefully at least one of us will be in attendance.
Bob
If you can't be good, be entertaining!!!
