Back in the Kilt
The week before and the two weeks of my vacation to Scotland and France, I was always kilted. My trousers hung in the closet. Today, it had been 10 days without wearing the kilt.
So, today I had decided to re-kilt! I went to work in my USA Kilt semi trad in the Stewart Black tartan. A member of the community where I work who had recently moved sent me a newspaper article that had a kilted picture of me in it. He came in to the office today, and was pleased to find me kilted. He discussed his Scottish heritage and it turns out both our mothers were Robertsons! He was delighted. He is pictured below.

Told the wife I was going to stop by the Fredericksburg pub for a pint after work. She suggested I include dinner. Knowing Sir William is fond of the Bellhaven Cream Ale that is served at the Pub, I emailed him to see if he could join me. He did and we shared our adventures in Scotland. He wore his new double box pleat by Lady Crystal in the Elliot tartan. I had seen his kilt ten days ago hanging in Lady Crystal’s sewing room when I visited her and Robert (Ancienne Alliance). As nice as the kilt looked when I saw it in France, it looked even better with Bill wearing it. It was a good day to be kilted!

Great photos, good to see you're kilted again, I hope Bill wears the new kilt on his trip to Toronto, I'd love to see the Lady Chrystel in person.

Kilted Friday
Okay, guys so Friday I wore my kaki Buzz Kidder as I would be doing double duty and working that evening at Walmart. So, I wore my required navy blue shirt and kaki KILT!
At my day job as I was finishing the topping up of the swimming pool, one of the ladies out for water aerobics said,"I just love your kilt and those red thingies." With a laugh, I said they were flashes, which got a few chuckles from the other ladies.

Later, the fellow in the earler post returned and found me kilted, again. He was pleased. I suggested he obtain himself a Robertson red Kilt. He commented he would think about that one. He said he was coming back on Monday, so I'll wear my Robbie Red then.
As I clocked in at Walmart and made my way to my department through the back room, I saw one of the Asst. Managers, Dewey giving me the once over. He started towards me. Now Dewy runs the receiving Department and supervisors the unloaders that removes the goods from the trucks and takes the pallets to the floors. A tough job. Dewey is a en-military type and a past sherriff of a town in western Virginia. You get the picture? I brace myself for a ''dressing down".
Dewey asks, Is there a Highland Game, today? No, I said I'm just back from Scotland. He reaches out and shakes my hand!
Later in the shift, he and his wife show up in my department (he is on his meal break) and the wife says 'Your right, I can't believe it.' Dewey responds he is dressed in the Walmart uniform colors and there is nothing we can do'. The tone of their voices are affirming and they have large smiles. They tell me about their plans to go to Ireland in the future.
Later my Scottish friend, George shows up to ring up some purchase and is atonished to see me kilted at Walmart. I tell him about my Scotland trip. We make plans to see one another at the Virginia Highland Games.
