Musicians/storytellers wanted: Robbie Burns Tea 1/24/10, Chelmsford, MA
A friend of mine is organizing a benefit for the Chelmsford (Mass.) Center for the arts, and is seeking musicians and storytellers (not necessarily Celtic) to join in.

Hello lovers of the bards!
Whilst you are preparing to continue the holidays of Solstice, Christmas, New Year, and any others, I have an invitation for you. After a looooong time 'out of the loop' I am now slowly coming back into circulation with the great hope of beginning a small acoustic Open Mic at the new Chelmsford Center for the Arts, in their old Town Hall on the Commons in the town's center, early in the New Year.
As a kick off event, I am planning to have a Robbie Burns Tea on Sunday, 24th January, 2010 from 4-7pm. I would be sooo glad of your participation. The center just opened itself in under it's new focus for the Arts in October, so, we are still in the early stages...no idea who or how many can come. But, I thought by giving it as a Tea, quite informally (not as rich perhaps as prior Outspoken Word events), I cannot say what, if anything, would be our take on the door. So, a charitable event with my best welcome and tea and shortbread, early enough in the afternoon to leave you free for any evening bookings. So, do let me know if you can come along with a song or two, or poem or story on the 24th! If you know what you can offer in the way of repertoire, that will help us not to overlap.
Please PM me if you're interested, and I can hook you up w. contact info.

Bump.
Hello Friends!
Hoping you and the family have enjoyed Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year!
I am planning to have a family oriented Burns Tea on Sunday January 24th from 4-6pm at the Chelmsford Center for the Arts, aka the old Town Hall across from the Green, Chelmsford town center.
I invite you to come (with the family) kilted if you wish and maybe willing to recite a Burns poem or two (***optional, but let me know in advance please !) This is a starter event for me, as I hope to run an Open Mic there in the New Year...so, nothing in the 'coffers' as yet.
Suggested donation: $5, $3 for children aged 5 plus
