I plan on attending the games this year and of course I will be kilted. I want to be comfortable so my question is...is it appropriate to wear a golf shirt and sneaker type shoes with a kilt? Do I wear hose and Flashes?

It is very appropriate to wear the golf shirt with your kilt. As far as footwear and hose, I have attended many Highland Games and I have seen it all, including sandals (no socks). My choice is to wear what makes you comfortable. I will be at the Games (but only on Friday, so probably won't see you); I assume being a working stiff you will be there on Saturday. I will be kilted with golf shirt, black combat boots and lowered kilt hose (only because they are thick, comfortable, and good for the boots); no flashs of course.
