Need a contact number SHO
Does anyone have a contact number for Norcalpiper (Josh) at Skye Highland Outfitters. I know they have moved and that they are updating their website, but emails and PM's don't seem to be getting thru. I have tried the number ending 6652 but all I get is a phone company recording saying not available
thanks for any help

tried to look up my bookmarked website for SHO, doesn't work anymore.
Googled it and found them, it's now only a one page note explaining they are in process of moving.

A year ago I responded to a post by Josh. A friend of his had two sporrans for sale and needed help in the worst way. I purchased one by Paypal and was told it would be sent in two-plus weeks, as soon as a move was completed. Three weeks later I attempted to contact the seller and my e-mail bounced. I called Josh and he provided me with a 'phone number. I spoke with the seller and he apologised: his move was still underway and he would get it off to me in a week or two; he thanked me profusely for helping him in his financial bind.
Four weeks on I had heard nothing and called him again. The number was not in service. I was now beyond the deadline for a Paypal complaint. I called Josh and he told me he was very disappointed in his friend and offered to make me a sporran, gratis, exactly as the other.
I thanked him, accepted his offer and ordered two pair of hose to soften the blow. The hose were to be sent by the end of the year. In February Josh said that they had just been received and he would get them off in the post -- with my new sporran -- the following day. I then read that he had lost all his leatherworking tools and stock in a break-in. I called to tell him how sorry I was and he said it was even worse because he had lost the hide from which he was going to make my sporran! (?) I asked if that was the one he had sent the week before. He said that he had not sent it because he just wasn't happy with how it had turned out.
But he posted to the forum that he had sent it and even attached a pic.
PMs to Josh and e-mails to SHO continue unanswered.
A few weeks ago, however, he posted to the forum that he had made a sporran for me from an old briefcase, was very proud of the design and workmanship and was waiting for my review.
Suffice it to say the sporran has not arrived.

Same Story
The reason I am searching for a working contact number for Josh is that I ordered a goat hair sporran in March this year, now his site is down and emails get no response. I sent him a PM thru this site on 5 Sept and know he was on the site on 11 September
After ordering and paying for the sporran I found out, a month later, on his site that he was awaiting cantles for his sporrans , not thru him contacting me.
I then contacted him in June and he said that he had just posted it, together with the sporran that he had made for his Clan Chief (who lives in OZ too) (Shown to all on XMTS) Along comes the end of August, no sporran, contact Josh who says that there was a problem with the paperwork and both sporrans were being retuned to him by Australian Customs and that he would send them priority mail and provide us with the tracking numbers. Nothing heard since then.
I have searched a couple of other forums and there is at least one other Australian as well as a couple of Americans ready to throttle him re late or no delivery of items.
I have located his Clan Chief in Australia and will shortly be calling him to see if he has received his sporran.
Up until now I have given Josh the benefit of the doubt, but evidence seems to be mounting that he must be outed and let people know of his less than desirable practices.

According to the Member's List, his last visit to XMarks was on 09-10-2010, so he is still around.

I'm glad I'm not the only one............I contacted Josh for a PV kilt for a wedding late this year in July. He promised to send swatches for me to look at (between a few generic, non-clan tartans) and make a choice. I've sent 9 emails, I've sent PMs on here, and even resorted to sending a message to the person who referred me to Josh (a happy customer, it seems) to get him to tell Josh to contact me.
After being told repeatedly that the swatches have shipped (four times now, over the past 7 weeks), the communication, which was sparse to begin with, has dried up entirely. Getting desperate and recognising how my window of time was closing, I started looking elsewhere. Rocky was in the middle of a move and with his delays I couldn't be guaranteed I'd get my kilt in time, so I spoke to John at Keltoi. Over three days we exchanged many many email, John answered all my silly questions and has volunteerd a wealth of suggestions and points of guidance to me.......
Based on an enthusiastic review of the tartan from a Clan mate here, I have selected my tartan (sight unseen! I have never seen it anywhere other than a computer screen!) and, based on the reviews of you lot and my communication with John, I have ordered my kilt from Keltoi. From my dealings so far with Keltoi, they're rating a 10/10!
I just couldn't risk Josh telling me that the kilt had been posted and then finding out that he hadn't even made it when December rolls around.
