Vest al la HRH Prince Charles

I've noticed several photo's of HRH wearing his kilt and he always wears a vest that is straight across the front. All of mine have that little peak opening. Anyone know who might sell those kind of Vests?

I believe his clothes are all bespoke. Also, I'm sure you could find a tailor to duplicate the style HRH wears.... cost would be the issue.

I really like the clothes HRH wears. Very slick and stylish.

There were a few on uniformalwarehouse.com last time I looked, but that was a while ago. It's certainly not of the same quality as HRH wears, but the one I bought was pretty fair and a great buy for the price. I got mine in black so it could work with any jacket I have, and it's good by itself. I wouldn't say it's black tie wear, but it mainly lets me step up a notch from "business casual."

Lots of these 19th C. style vests have the straight bottom, and lapels (though only a handful are wool or "tweedy"):

I was going to mention the lapels on the vest. Not a common sight.

    Lady Chrystel...

She makes some superb bespoke vests. I'm sure she'd be able to do whatever you wanted.

We can have ours made that way on special request. When I had my sheriffmuir made, I requested the waistcoat be straight cut.

    Jacket

I keep going back to that picture. Looking at the jacket it doesn't seem to fall under Argyll, Bramar, or Crail. There aren't any shoulder ropes. I really like the way that vest collar falls as well.

I'd purchased a Crail jacket sometime back and found that the waistcoat was a bit long, so I took it to a local seamstress and had it flattened out...
