Kilts in gusty winds!
As you may know Scotland has recently had unseasonal windy weather for May (normally it just rains )
Last night my man's rugby club had a night out - we were all in the team tops, with the girls in jeans and all the boys in kilts (I've already posted on this strange combo). Well it was a VERY windy night.
I'm saying NOTHING else except I never laughed so much in my life! Boys in kilts in the wind! Yaaaay!

Seconded!!
Personally, I've not had too many problems with the wind, and it gets pretty windy in Colorado in the spring! I did have issues with wind when I went to the Grand Canyon and walked out on the bridge... Otherwise, I've found that my 8 yard, 16 oz double box pleat kilt handles most wind rather well.

The snag is most of the guys were in cheapie versions which is wise for a night drinking and generally getting plastered. But cheapie versions catch the breeze more readily. Not that this girlie is complaining, nor are any of my friends...
Never fear, no pictures are suitable for sharing on a family site!

Ahhh, you know I have never had the wind lift up mine. I did have a woman avert her eyes as I came down a steep part of a trail on Mt. Monadnock. Smiles and blushing.

I just got back from the Victoria Highland Games and it was gusty at times. I had my 16 Oz wool kilt and had not too many problems. I noticed that some of the people who wore the lighter fabric kilts did have a few moments but if anyone noticed they were only smiling.
My second kilt will be a lighter fabric after I talked to a fellow from" Freedom Kilts" as they are considerably less expensive. The material appears to wear well and is able to be washed a number of times without loosing the crisp folds. It is a great alternative.
I love the feel of the 16 Oz wool kilt as it feels so right .
In any event...enjoy your kilts... it is the greatest clothing article a man can wear.
Glad you Lasses are so understanding.
Lang may your lum reek and a wee mouse never leaves your cupboard with a tear in its eye.
