Newbie from Brooklyn (and Semper Fi BTW)
Hello all!
Just a warning off the bat - I tend to keep to myself and am not too experienced in keeping up with message boards, so if I ever fail to respond or be too talkative, please be forgiving and chalk it up to my innate personal failings!
Hailing from Brooklyn here, new to both kilts and the forum. I thought I should join if for no other reason than to say, thanks to all of you for sharing your experiences! I only considered going kilted about a month ago and have made the leap, and in that time this forum has been a great source of info and entertainment.
I just recently finished my own kilt (no particular tartan, just some very comfy wool flannel I had lying around) and am so incredibly pleased that I can't wait to make a few more. For someone as reserved as myself, I'm also quite amazed at how much EASIER it is to make friends when you're wandering around in a kilt! So, here's to making new friends, people of X Marks! Looking forward to getting to know you.
Oh, and one last thing - where are my devil dogs? I know from browsing the threads that you're here, just haven't quite got a handle on the roster yet. Semper Fi!
