    Recipes we all can make!

I wouldn't be surprised if this has been created already but I wanted to put some wonderful recipes that are delish, (possibly) healthy (but mostly delish), and easy enough for even basic cooks to make.

    Irish Eggs!

    2 tablespoons butter
4 potatoes, peeled and sliced (or frozen ore ida obrien potatoes)
    1 onion, minced
    1 green bell pepper, chopped
    6 eggs, beaten

also feel free to put in anything else! mushrooms, jalapenos, bacon, ham, etc. etc. Go nuts.

    Directions

In a large skillet, melt butter over medium high heat. Add potatoes, onion and green pepper; saute until potatoes are browned. Stir in eggs and cook until eggs are set. Serve warm.

**I also put Natures Seasoning in almost everything eggs related. I put a couple good shakes of that into this too.

    I like this one best:

    CHRISTMAS CAKE RECIPE

    INGREDIENTS

    1 Cup of water
    8 oz dried fruit
    1 tblsp salt
    Lemon juice
    1 tsp baking powder
    8 oz Sugar
    1 Bottle of whisky

    4 large eggs
    1 lb of dried fruit
    8 oz butter
    8 oz of flour

    METHOD
Sample the whisky to check for quality

Take a large bowl. Check whisky again. To be sure it is of the highest
quality, pour one level cup and drink, repeat.

Turn on the electric mixer, beat 2 oz of butter in a large fluffy bowl.
Add one tsp of sugar and beat again.

Make sure the whisky is still OK, cry another tup.

Turn off the mixerer, break two bowls and add to the eggs and chuck in the fruit.

Mix on the turner. If the fruit gets stuck in the bloody beaters, pry it loose with a screwdriver.

Sample the whisky again to check for tonsisticity.

Next, sift two sups of calt or something, Who cares? Check the whisky.

Now sift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.

Add one table or spoon of sugar or something, Whatever you can find.

Grease the oven turn the cake tin to 350 degrees. Don't forget to beat off the turnerer. Throw the bowl out the window, check the whisky again and go to bed......... .......

Next day, take three aspirins go to Walmart and buy a frigging Christmas Cake!

How simple or complex do you want recipes? with a Celtic flair? or international? 5 ingredients or less, 10 ingredients? I haven't written any new recipes in a while but most of mine tend to southern USA, Cajun, or Asian influenced.

Meh just something that I could whip up any night for dinner. I'm not a noob so I don't need 101 level but I also dont want it to have a ton of weird exotic ingredience that I cant get at my local grocery store.

international is always welcome. Celtic flair as well

Re: Recipes we all can make!

Are you up for some chili??? It takes more than a couple minutes but you can put it in a crockpot and simmer it all day.

    Chili
3 lbs burger, chili grind or cubed roast
    1 chopped onion
    1 tbsp garlic.
    6 tbsp Chili powder
    3 tbsp cumin
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp black pepper
    2 pints of beer
    1 tbsp masa.
    1-2 tsp cayenne

Brown meat on high and drain most of the grease. Add onion and cook till clear. Pre measure and Add all remaining spices and cook for 1 minute. Add beer. When Chili returns to boil cut the heat to a simmer. Pull off 2 cups of "broth" and thicken it with masa stirring constantly. Return to pot and simmer until masa cooks in and chili thickens.
Please excuse the spelling errors. My IPhone is "helping" me.
