Posing in the kilt on Queen Mary 2
Maybe I can't help it or maybe its since I joined this forum. Sometimes you get cocky while wearing the kilt, you think you are the bees knees, I'm sure there are a lot of members who can understand what I'm talking about.
Anyway the point of this thread is that I'm on the Queen Mary 2 cruise for 11 nights at the end of the month and there will be 4 formal nights during the voyage, therefore at least 4 times to pose in full highland regalia, thinking that I'm the bees knees. God help me for my vanity but as I've already said I'm sure being a member of this forum has something to do with it.

I am sure you will be the envy of all the men in their boring tuxes.
Have a great time and don't forget the pictures
Chris.

You are right about the boring tuxes, the full kilt outfit is far more impressive and perhaps the compliments that you receive gives a tremendous boost to your confidence. I don't think that because we are prejudice with regards the kilt that this makes us unable to accept that the kilt is probably the best form of dress for a male.

Enjoy. Just be careful on the decks...sea breezes can be quite uplifting - in more ways than one...

Although there is 4 formal nights on the Cunard cruise and I will be kilted on those nights, if appropriate I may try and be kilted on a few more nights. I suppose I would like to wear the kilt for the duration of the cruise, sort of addictive, isn't it?
It is amazing how some people love to wear the kilt as often as possible like most of our members and many kilt owners only take it out of the wardrobe every blue moon

Re: Posing in the kilt on Queen Mary 2
We leave on Sunday from Glasgow Central Rail station on a Cunard special that takes us direct to the ship at Southampton. Breakfast and lunch on board the train is included in the cruise price, stops are being made at Carlisle, Preston and Stockport.
So with four formal nights, I have decided to bring only one kilt and that will be Hunting Stewart, but will wear on different nights, Argyll and Prince Charlie jackets with different colour shirts and stockings to relieve the tedium of being dressed the same on these four formal nights and if possible may sneak wearing the kilt casually on some other night.
