New Bairn, New Kilt
I just ordered my newest grandson's first kilt, a Leatherneck tartan from Stillwater. The sporran is coming from an ebay seller in the UK.
I'm still looking for a bonnet so we won't have to wear our flat hats:

You can readily see what old block he's chipped off of.
Photos will, of course, be forthcoming as soon as the gear arrives.

He's already spoiled rotten, and he's only five weeks old.
I do what I can.

Congratulations on the new addition to the family (the grandson I mean, not the kilt)

Looks like he'll probably grow a moustache soon, just like Gramps!

Re: New Bairn, New Kilt
the kilt from SWK arrived last Friday--about ten minutes after Lex left my office with his mother, so we haven't tiied it on yet. Also, I don't have any photos yet, but I did have to give Stillwater yet another push for being so very dependable.
The Leatherneck tartan will look great on that boy, but I'll wait until the sporran arrives to get a photo op. (It's in the mail.) Of course, a rag would good on that boy, but the kilt is great.
After dealing with with them, I tend to be very impatient with everyone else from whom I receive shipments. If they can do it, why can't everyone? (I am pretty sure I know; they either don't want to or don't have to!)

Re: New Bairn, New Kilt
You’re a proud grandpa indeed, Jim!
But I am sure you will swell with even greater pride when the two of you kilt up.
Not sure why you got the bairn’s kilt in Leatherneck, though. What if he wants to be in the air force?
Regards,
Mike
