Tan/brown tweed jacket and waistcoat

I have a wedding of a good friend coming up and I was asked to wear my kilt. I am currently without a jacket and waistcoat. Therefor I have been looking for suitable tweed. I have been quite taken with the tan and brown tweeds.

Does anyone have pictures to show off of their tan or brown tweed? If you refuse to wear it in the photo please lay your kilt out with tge jacket and waistcoat.

One of my favourite Argyll jackets is a brown one that I found on consignment at a local tartan shop, it is Harris Tweed with horn buttons and was made sometime in the 40's or 50's

I do not have a waistcoat for it, but even if I did this tweed is such that I may not wear it with a waistcoat anyway as it is very thick.

I love the browns as well. Heritage of Scotland has an offering in Harris Tweed called "Field Speckled" that is on my list of somedays.

This one is a professional conversion I had done by my local alteration shop.

This one has quite a bit of green in it but is a good bit brown as well:

I have one on order from USAkilts that is a rust/brown that should be here by Christmas, and I am really looking forward to that one as well!

Which item number from USAKilts? I am planning to order a couple of new tweed jackets and matching waistcoats from Rocky, and I am deciding on which colour tweeds to go with. Thus far, I have narrowed down my choices to the Hunter and Poacher tweeds by Lochcarron, but would also like a brownish tweed - the Gamekeeper seems a wee bit too dark of a brown for me, but it's not bad. Many thanks to Matt, for posting the photos of Brian Wilton wearing the Gamekeeper tweed!

It's the "LM Kirk 577" Kyle. They arrived last week, but I have not had the time to get the photos taken and posted. I hope to get them done in the next few days. Trust they (jacket and waistcoat) are quite handsome, and as always with Rocky, arrived in excellent time with a great fit. Ok Ok no more until I get photos taken!!!

The gent in the brown tweed jacket here is Brian Wilton, of the Scottish Tartans Authority. These were taken at the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games in 2009.

The tweed, I believe, is Lochcarron's 'Gamekeeper" tweed (which you can order from the STM gift shop here).
