been back to the stone
I took my sons and one daughter and wife to Yellowstone because my son goes into the army soon and he wanted to spend a few days there and my daughter has had the last 6 months of hell and she needed to commune with nature. Unfortunately my son injured his foot during training and had to stay off it for a week, my daughter got sick the first night there and both had to go back to grandma's. My other son decided to stay and visit with his sister so mom and I could have the first totally kids "not just down in the tv room while we sneak a few private moments" night we have had in 29 years. Two days with out children. It felt really weird but enjoyable.
Me at the falls. (and a few rain drops)

I absolutely love the patches on the apron - excellent idea! Great pics and scenery too! Thanks!

a badger and it's kits

a black bear near mammoth

one of my favorite grizzlies. We nicknamed him old scrappy but apparently his park nickname is old scarface

Great photos, grizzbass! My wife did two summers of field research in the back country of Yellowstone during graduate school. It is a magnificent place.

Thanks for all those great wilderness animal shots. Some of them I couldn't bear to watch.
My favorite picture is your and your wife with Yellowstone Falls in the background. I've been to that overlook - me and about a million or so other folks, I imagine.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.

Those wildlife pictures are fantastic. What is it about bear cubs that make people go "Aaaaahh"?
