Baby's First Kilt
Does anybody have a line on a reliable supplier of "Baby's First Kilt," specifically in the 6-12 month size of MacPherson Red?
We wanted our daughter to wear one of these for our mid-August wedding, thus I ordered one from a local kilt store about four months ago. I hadn't heard from them, so I called this morning, and all they could tell me is that the supplier was kind of unreliable and they could never tell when they would get a shipment.
They also didn't seem too interested in expending the customer service to find out, so I figure I should try and find one elsewhere in case it never shows up. My Google Fu is failing me in finding anything in the Greater Vancouver area, but if anyone could point me toward a supplier who would guarantee I get it within a short time I'd be grateful. After all, it's not like it's being made to spec.
Thanks!

Both SportKilt (www.sportkilt.com) and Trew Scots (www.trewscots.co.uk) do baby kilts in the MacPherson Red. We've received an example of each (although in different tartan) for my son Sam.
I have no experience with Trew Scots' shipping/service, but the kilt is nicer feeling and fitting than SportKilt; however, both look just fine on my boy. It's been a few years since I ordered from SportKilt, but they shipped quite quickly, I think.

If you'd like, I can make a baby kilt for you. How old is the baby?
Tomorrow I'm going to the Round Hill highland games in nearby Connecticut. Most likely there will be a vendor selling tartan sashes that could be used to make a baby's first kilt. There's a good chance that I could buy a sash in MacPherson Red. If so, I could make the baby kilt right away.

My goodness, to be 6-12 months old and have your first kilt one made by Bonnie Heather Greene. How much better could childhood be.....

And in the mail today arrived a nice package from Bonnie Heather Greene. Fits my daughter perfectly, room to grow built in, and the kind of thing her own children will be able to wear.
Thanks Bonnie!
