My First Unbiforcated Outting

The wife and I went to SeaWorld this past weekend and I decided to my it my first kilted outting. Please be nice about not wearing a proper shirt or sporran. It was 102 degrees in San Antonio humidity. I decided sans sporran was the best plan whilst trying to negotiate roller-coasters and aquatic animalia! If anyone is wondering, it is a Clergy tartan.

@ grizzbass- in the interest of full disclosure, the woman in the picture is not my wife, she's one of the animal trainers in the Shamu show, however my wife is a very beautiful woman too. She is the one taking the picture. Thank you for the kind words.

@Riverkilt- I know you dont care for them, but the flap pocket in the apron was perfect for my ID, CC, and a bit of folding money. That's all I brought with me, so it worked out fine. You can't ccw in an amusement park in Texas (not sure about other states) so there was no need to carry my pistola or chl.

I think you're looking good. I like kilts both dressed down and dressed up. They are just another garment. I must day, though, that I prefer a sporran, even on hot days, just for convenience.

The important thing is, you wore the kilt and that alone makes the look good. Don't worry about how it was accessorized. Others don't realize the challenge it is to wear a kilt when the temperatures are over 100 and one is dealing with sun and humidity.
