My homemade wedding kilt.
My wedding was last week, and I made myself a kilt and modified a jacket for the occasion... Made the lot in one day. Never mind that that one day was only two days before the wedding.
The photographer sent me one picture while he works on the rest, so here's a peek before I get more pictures -

Forgive the white hose - I tried about six or seven colours before settling on them - I just needed my outfit to play off her dress a bit more.
I chose my tartan based on the white and brown of her dress, and the rest of the outfit just fell in place around it.
I'll be adding some details to the coat - reshaping the pocket flaps, adding metal buttons, epaulets, and cuffs. I may even close the single vent in the back.
More shots to come!

Congratulations on your marriage, she is a beauty. The kilt and jacket look good. Don't worry about the white hose. White or colored is a personal choice, some are for some are not.

Beautiful bride, beautiful couple. You've done yourself proud on all fronts. I also think you had the appropriate hose for the situation. Best wishes for long marriage.

First off CONGRATULATIONS on the wedding. Second, sharp looking kit and good job. I love the fact you chose the tartan to go with her dress. Now that's love. And lastly, the white socks as a conscious choice is respectable. Thank you for the additional shots, (especially the Hamish). Best wishes for the future and wear the kilt often.

Nate: Made your wedding kilt. How many grooms can say that? That's very special and you should be very proud. Congratulations! The tartan goes well with everything, including your hair and skin color. Very nice. I think your white hose looks fine.
May you and your beautiful wife enjoy a long and loving marriage. Slainte!

I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
