Antarctic Tartan
Love this kilt. Haven't done any pics of it in a while. Its woven to support the survival of Antarctica - sold by the British Antarctic Trust - or something close. Woven by Dalgliesh. Kathy Lare hand sewed mine. Love the colors and the way the pleats are sewn.

Pic is at the Glen Canyon Dam overlook along the Colorado River.

And the pleats - which flash white when I walk.

Check with Barb T. on Antarctic wear - think she made a shirt in this tartan for her husband...maybe she knows more.

I have lusted after the Antarctic tartan ever since I spied it in the "Art of kiltmaking" book.
Blue complements brown Ron, Thanks for the pictures and a shot of warmth for me with the desert sighting.

To answer Father Bill in post 4.
YES!
I sent a "Kilt Kit" to Antarctica which included "The Art of Kiltmaking", Needles, tape measure, fabric, thread, stabilizer and interfacing, straps and buckles.
The Kilt was sewn over the winter and worn while piping on an ice 'boulder' about 150' tall outside McMurdo Station.
