    Seersucker with a kilt

Inspired by Mael Coluim in this thread:

    http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...-summer-74254/

I took an otherwise perfectly good seersucker jacket and converted it for kilt wear. I wore it today at the Chicago Highland Games.

    I got many nice compliments!

Very smart, and very sensible in your climate that does still keep the essence of the overall traditional look. Well done laddie.

Wow, that's nice, and looks very elegant.

It looks like you turned back the clock eight or nine decades. I like it.

Good call. I think making accommodations for one's climate, while still keeping a traditional look, is very smart. Both literally and figuratively!

A very nice look there! I've taken a former summer Italian suit jacket and had it made into a kilt jacket. By coincidence, I am wearing my seersucker suit today! In a few years, if the trousers wear out, I'll make it into a summer kilt jacket, too. Thanks for the inspiration!
