    Flash Color

Soon I will be purchasing brick red socks for my Black Watch Stillwater kilt. Just wondering what would be a good flash color? Thanks

I'd go with the blue that's in the kilt. But then I like to have my flashes to go with the hose and kilt. YMMV~

Agree, the blue or the green from the kilt tartan (but not tartan flashes).

For Brick Red you need Mortar Gray!!!

But, seriously, you could attempt to match one of the colors in the kilt as a contrast to the color of the hose, as others have suggested. However, you could also use a color that compliments both without necessarily matching, such as yellow. Ecru (off white or natural) or black, would also work well, in my opinion.

I have a pair of Brick Red hose myself and have worn different colors of flashes with them. My green flashes make them look, well... Christmas'y (maybe it's the color of green).

I'd suggest Lovat green....or a colour that picks up something in the tie you are wearing (if you plan to wear a tie)

    Cheers...Bill

How about black? I have a set of black garters I purchased from the Scottish Tartan Museum. They're my catch-all garters (go with anything.)
