    Kilt rehab.

In 2009 I bought a Gold Bros. Heritage of Scotland kilt. I like the tartan, like the feel and especially liked the price. A few week ago I decided I wanted to put some pockets in it and so deconstructed it and turned it into a box pleat instead of a knife pleat. I had to do this as once I took it apart I quickly found out that is was a pretty short yardage kilt ( 4 and a half yrds )

I think after all things are considered it turned into a pretty darn nice box pleat kilt.

Nice... Was it sold as a five or an eight yard kilt to start with?

When I bought it there was no labelling as to how many yards were in it. It simply said "Highland Kilt". I knew from the feel that it was fairly low yardage but I wasn't too concerned with it. I think in the back of my mind I knew it was destined to be rebuilt.
