I have a Sportkilt. It is very light weight, and started pilling very quickly. I recommend trying USA Kilts instead.

Cool I'll check out there stuff. I know they can make the Wood Tartan custom, so I had planned getting one from the eventually.

SportKilts light weight is a big plus to me, but the major selling point is having four understated and very functional pockets. Can't see myself ever buying another pocketless kilt except for a formal occasion. The Marton Mills fabric is an excellent alternative to wool, and USA kilt has a sterling reputation. For every day wear I just need pockets for all the stuff a sporran can't hold. For working around the house or running errands, personally a sporran just gets in the way.

To clear up what may be confusing in the last post.

Sportskilt do not use Marton Mills fabrics, USA Kilts does.

USA Kilts do not have pockets.

If you would like pockets and true Marton Mills P/V then there is only one place. Freedom Kilts.
I was the first to figure out how to put pockets in a traditional looking Tartan kilt. My pockets have been copied but the combination of my pockets and true Marton Mills fabric can be found no where else.

    I wear the kilt because:
    Swish + Swagger = Swoon.

Im not so much interested in pockets, I want a nice clean kilt that I can wear with my uniform to a wedding or what not or go to a bar and be comfy. I just didn't know anything about sportskilts stuff. Worst part of the net is you cant see things first hand.
