    Glengarry II

Here is my second (successful) attempt at a Glengarry.

The top one was the previous failure. For all the knitters out there, the bridging used when doing the color work/dicing is VITALLY important! As you can see, without it, everything shrinks in one direction. I made two or three that ended up way too long and shallow to be useful for anything other than a good laugh. My son needed a solid black Glengarry for his piping so I kept at it until I finally figured it out.

Yes, I know that it looks too tall. Again, this seems to be a problem with managing the shrinkage. I am still working on the pattern trying to get it to look just right. Speaking of, any knitters interested in trying out my pattern, send me a PM. I am thinking of putting something together to sell on Ravelry. With the time and effort I have put into figuring this out, I would like to get something back for my return other than a smirk and a "thanks" from my son.
And here is the final product with the bit of ribbon for the badge.

Wow, nicely done with the shaping! Almost exactly a year ago I was tinkering with a knit/felted glengarry pattern of my own, but I never quite got the shaping down to my satisfaction before I got distracted by other things.
