Footwear with kilts
Looks like everyone has their own preferences, from sandals to combat boots..
How about you guys, what are your preferences?
Honestly, I'm a sandals guy. My calves are too big for combat boots, and dress shoes just look weird to me when I mostly wear t-shirts and sleeveless shirts with my kilts.

It very much depends on what else I'm wearing, although I don't do the combat boot thing, (I don't own any), but will wear hiking boots if hiking. I like fisherman sandals in the heat of summer and have some casual slip ons to wear with golf shirts.
Cheers...

I'm not as keen on footwear as I am a hat guy. The one thing I can't seem to do while kilted is go barefooted. All my shoes or boots fit the circumstance (work to public functions). Kilting to me assures a covered foot.

I'm a simple monk strap shoe guy, it's my go to footwear regardless of dress, be it pants or kilt, they fit me great and I love the no laces aspect.

Teva sandals in summer, Z Coils in winter. Spring and Summer goes with the weather/temperature

If I were dressing up to meet my clients. I'd go with a polo shirt and English oxford shoes. If it's my days off then it's either the combat boots, or black sneakers with the shirts.

Barefoot is my preference. If I can't do that then Vibram Five Fingers or Tevas if it's really warm, otherwise hiking boots. Doc Martens or Demonia boots if I'm dressing up, which is fortunately not that often any more.
