Another Kilt Surprise in my Little Town

So I'm at a charity auction for the local cancer support folks. Theme is Halloween so I chose NOT to wear a kilt...kilt is not a costume etc.

We get there and there's a guy in a kilt. Not just any kilt - a hand sewn Antarctica tartan kilt. Introduced myself and wearing pants (my costume was John Beluchi from Animal House...wore a sweatshirt that read COLLEGE) I told him I had kilts too, even had an Antarctica tartan kilt before selling it last year. What are the odds of two kilts, let alone two Antarctica tartan kilts in my small town?

It turns out he's a government man who spent three years in Antarctica and even more amazing his wife is my physical therapist and she sewed up the kilt!

No I didn't explain about the kilt is not a costume as to why I wasn't kilted.

Another strong indicator of the extensive acceptance of kilts.

    Hey,

It is interesting how you ran into the gentleman with the kilt in a most unlikely situation. My question is this: since you both wear kilts and have become acquaintances, and because he is married to your physical therapist, are you going to get a discount from your therapist? That would really be great. Good luck.

Maybe get her to sew a kilt up for me...she did his in box pleat. Didn't have time to look at it closely. He is "about" my size...wondering if I can sell a few of mine to him.

Don't have ongoing physical therapy. Got referred to her after my entire back locked up last year...could hardy move even with a cane. Since I deal with Rx narcotic addicted clients daily I didn't want to go with pills.

My first visit she looked over my info, looked up at me and said, "you'll be an easy case." And I was. She taught me a series of basic exercises I do twice a day. Takes about 15 minutes. And they work. Saw her maybe four times as she showed me new exercises and made sure I was doing the old ones correctly. Hadn't seen her in months so no need for a discount. But damn, she is a beautiful woman...wish I could without the physical damage needed.
