Suggestions For Camo Kilt?
I want to order a camo utility kilt. I found one from UT Kilts, but thought I would seek suggestions from the fine members here before ordering.

I guess it all depends on what Camo pattern you are after. Is having an actual camo design important to you or will you accept a Chinese camo like print fabric?
And do you want domestic made or is from Pakistan good enough?

I wear the kilt because: Swish + Swagger = Swoon.

I imagine its like one of those "how long is a piece of string" questions, but I did see a couple of kilts being worn in Inverness some time ago made from "Flecktarn" pattern cammo that looked pretty good to my eyes.

Interestingly I have seen a shooting suit made from weathered tartan cloth. I cannot recall the tartan, but it was in fact, pretty effective camo, even after I got over the shock! I started a thread on it here once, I suppose its still lurking in the library somewhere if anyone is interested.

I remember that thread and I loved that suit! I am a fan of any nice tweed in a shooting suit though. I am an oddity here in the States that I can be seen fly fishing in a waistcoat and tie and like to shoot birds in tweed.

Knocking around the "devil-net", I found this site that offers different material weights and patterns in camo. If you wanted to design your own kilt (in the future) this might be useful.

I do not recommend or promote this company. I just posted the site for a comparison and optional idea.

Rocky Woods is a very popular vendor for all sorts of outdoorsy fabrics, including camouflage. I've been ordering from them for years. They don't have a ton of variety in fabrics that are suitable for kilts, but there is no one-stop source for this stuff anyway. They're also excellent for stuff like webbing, velcro, and quality plastic hardware. Highly recommended, two thumbs up, totally balleur.

Thanks. I'm not sold on a specific camo design, I'm open there. If it looks good to me, and is a reasonably good fabric, meaning not acrylic, I'm open to it.
