    Seeking a Tartan Pattern

    Hey Everyone,

My name is Brandon and I am seeking a Tartan pattern. I have attached a copy here. I had a flannel shirt that I loved (Currently it keeps my Pipes wrapped up) and if I could find out what Tartan it is, I will certainly get a kilt and accessories with it. Currently I have one kilt maker looking for it. The closest that I have seen is Ancient MacLean of Duart and Lindsay. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If this is not the right location for this message please direct me where I can go. Thank you.
    Sincerely,
    Brandon

    Tartan Finder

House of Tartan has a way to search by the colors and pattern in a tartan.

But it's also possible that the flannel shirt won't exactly match any registered tartan. You may have to search for a close match instead.

    Good luck.

Good luck with the match and/or finding a tartan that will appeal to your needs.

Thanks Steve for fixing the photo.

This is a typical 'fashion tartan' of the type produced in many places, not just the UK. Given that is is from a shirt it was probably made for the manufacturer. It is not a Scottish clan/family tartan.

There aren't any pink dance tartans that also have red like that, though (I'm actually trying to think of any that have pink and red at all). Any dance tartan is going to be a dress tartan, as that's what has been in style for some time now. If you wanted to replace the pink or red with white, you'd have a better chance of getting close with a dance tartan, but then it wouldn't be the same as the one you like!
