    Piecing it together

My kilt and accessories are finally all coming together, and I thought I'd share. These bits and pieces have all, for the most part, been bought separately, sought out for specific qualities. The kilt and hose are new. Everything else has been purchased either from users here (thank you, @Father Bill), or from shops overseas, in the case of the sporran and jacket.

I'm pleased with the way it's assembled over the months, and I'm looking forward to adding more, a little at a time, as opportunities arise.

I can do that. We had a great time at the Stone Mountain Games this weekend. Spent time with some old friends and meet some new ones. Enjoyed the company and the atmosphere, and we danced the night away.

While the kilt was lovely and incredibly comfortable (thanks to the crew at USA Kilts), the jacket attracted lots of attention, as the sunlight brought out the checks in a bright green and even exposed a lovely ruby red that I didn't even realize was there.

I went back today to see Atlanta Pipe Band play a few sets. Here's how my various pieces all came together.

It came together well, I can see why the jacket was so popular, that is an amazing tweed.

Thanks, I consider myself very fortunate to have found this jacket. It's a Stewart Christie from 1971. Still has the tag listing the order number and the original owner. Aside from the sleeves being a bit long (which I've already had corrected) it has a little extra room in the waist, but other than that, I couldn't be happier.
