Yup! I'll be doing that too. Anyone who drives anywhere near London thesedays must be mad! Looking forward to meeting up with Derek and Elaine again - we 'clicked' from the start!

That's not our joint intention, but who knows! We're meeting at the Natural History Museum. I'd rather like to pop into the "Floris" perfumery shop in Jermyn Street (the Company I spent 32 years with!), if there's time!

Have a great time Derek and don't forget to say hello to Hamish for me.
You just did it yourself, David , but I'll let Derek do so again. Oh! "Hello David", by the way

What fun you'll have, I am so jealous, I love London.

When I was a young man, Carnaby Street was my favourite place, I'd walk there in my lunch hour from Selfridges, where I worked.

Last year I met an "internet" friend in London, walked from St.Pauls, across the Thames and along the embankment to Tower Bridge and back, what a lovely city, full of history and life!

Have a great time together, show Londoners that kilts are the way to go!!

Last week i was in St.Kilda, Melbourne, a place considered to be quite far out, perhaps Bohemian, where one can see the most radical of people in terms of fashion and appearance.

Yet, this was a place a got the most "looks". weird eh?

Sorry, I digress. Hope to get to see your old haunts Hamish!

Ah, but it's all relevant, Rhino. I mean, you're a man of the world; always tearing about. Driving across the moors one minute and crawling your way through a snarled up city the next. You're experienced!!!!! (or so I am led to believe ).

Me, I'm a country boy. I don't understand city, or even town, driving. When I go to Brighton, I park on the outskirts (Oooops! sorry guys! ) and walk in to the centre. If I drive into Chichester to the shops, it takes me three days on tranquilisers to recover from the trauma!

Apart from anything else, I'm only a poor ol' pensioner and, wiv me Senior Rail Pass, I gets a nice discount on the rail fare. It's much cheaper for me to take the train than to drive.

A year of saving the rail discounts and I can order a new kilt!!!

    Hi mate

Long time no speak. I was hoping for a meet-up somewhere but nothing seemed to happen. Next year maybe.

Hi Al, I know what you mean, I think life got in the way a bit. Even my friends who live quite close to me have been shamefully neglected, hopefully I'll be able to catch up with everyone soon. Hope things are good for Al and the 'force' is strong within you
The scary thing is this, I assume that my life will slow/calm down but it just gets faster and more hectic

I was the same after a train journey that's why I drove this last time. I transferred my angst to the drivers of London by getting lost and doing U turns in the middle of any road I happened to be on.
It's good to see BMW drivers scattering out of the way
    Cheers Rhino
