Nicoll Brothers Sporran in need of TLC

I found this Nicoll Brothers’ sporran on eBay this evening:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/376780067306

Except for the two damaged tassels, it seems to be in pretty good shape, so I bought it.

I toyed with making my own tassels - which I may still do - but for now I bought replacement black rabbit fur tassels.

    What is the fur?

I know when the USA passed the Marine Mammal Protection Act banning the importation of seal-skin items the Scottish sporran-makers started using "pony" and "bovine" (their terms) for export to the USA.

I have a set of three extra white tassels that are short fur, probably pony or bovine, and also a set of three white rabbit tassels. You're welcome to either or both, I don't have use for them.

You already have the bells, all you need are the fur bits.

That is very kind of you, Richard.

    I'll take both please.

Can I pay you for postage and shipping?

Sure! PM me your address and I can get them in the mail tomorrow.

I won't know how much it will be until I get to the post office, but I'll use the smallest size thing I can find. They're just leather so they can't really get damaged.
