Kilt pins
That is a very impressive collection of kilt pins. You have inspired me to start looking for interesting pins. To date I have only been using my Craig crest pin.
Thanks for the great photos.

From Bali with love
I purchase nicknacks, for my wife, from these chaps http://www.by-hand.co.uk/ from time to time and she has always loved their stuff. On the off-chance I asked them to rummage through their drawers to see if they had anything which would serve as a kilt pin and they came up with this:

I think it serves rather well, it compliments a couple of other things I have, it is silver and is ethically produced to boot.

Re: Show Us Your Kilt Pins.
The rock pin is a rock I got while visiting Scotland with my girlfriend this past June. We hiked to Bracklinn Falls outside of Collander and walked up the river. There were alot of flat stones and it wasn't until I returned home and got a weathered tartan kilt that I decided this stone would be appropriate and a great reminder of my trip.

The second pin was actually a key ring but I made it into a kilt pin. The world pin fits well seeing as I am mixing a few traditions, the Scottish kilt, the German Heritage tartan and my Texas birth.

Re: Show Us Your Kilt Pins.
Here's one I made to go with my other antler accessories
Scotland is only 1/5 the size of Montana, but Scotland has over 3,000 castles and Montana has none.

That is a lovely, understated pin/tartan combination and the "memories" factor makes it even better. What a great idea and how fortuitous that you had collected the right rock!
Just don't let Jock know about it. "Just imagine if every American took a stone away from Scotland. . ."
