Thanks! The pic from tonight is pretty blurry, but at least shows that I clean up okay when I've a mind to. Actually I think this one is a bit better, pretty much the same but less blurry: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...4&l=9a7505be45
EDIT:
Uploaded the one in the above Facebook link to Photobucket so there's no need to take the link over to FB:

Yes, much better quality if one follows the link. That photo is a wonderful example of why it is better to spend more money on a quality, well-fitting jacket/waistcoat instead of paying half just to have something to wear. I don't know if you're fortunate enough to fit OTR jackets or if you went with Mr. Newsome's made-to-measure, but that tweed (to my eye) fits you perfectly! You have added some necessary iron to my resolve to wait another 6 months until I can comfortably afford one of Matt's MTM Tweeds.
You look super!

Looking exceedingly sharp in both pictures, Sensei!
...and man- that ray sporran really does the trick, I should say. The size seems really good...makes me Jones even more for mine, if you want to know the truth.

Thanks, Ryan. The devil-fish leather one is large -- for that matter so is the "Big Gent" in the first pic -- but neither is overly so, especially when you consider the humongous visual outlines of the hair sporrans that were all the rage in the 19th century.

Actually, I am, which cuts down on some costs. Still can't get away from the superiority of made-to-measure kilts, though!

With decent-quality stuff, though, it's amazing how much a sort of "dressed down, but nice" look can cost. I just did a quick tally of all the stuff I'm wearing in the first pic, from shirt to shoes and everything in between (not counting wristwatch and such), and it comes to a tad over $1,200. Yikes!!

Great look, both pictures. Nice one! I too like your (double pin) brown belt. Works a treat!

Well done!
I love both looks. Also just a tad jealous about the sporrans!
Cheers,

Dale, good on you; both looks are great for a confident, sophisticated, accomplished modern man.
Pity is, so few of the great lowing unwashed bluejeans-tees-flip flops double-digit IQ ultra-confoming texting mega-horde are even capable of cognizing thereabout, much less accepting the grace which is variety and truth to oneself.
