Do tell.
I understand the post , but I don't think anyone was meaning to be snotty or snooty . " It's just not done " is just a phrase that means something is a bit odd or unusual and is seldom done . Doesn't mean that a particular thing can't be done , just a bit unusual when it's done . Thus it generates questions ... not out of malice but rather out of curiosity .
Splendid pictures Mattie ! Keep them coming !
Cheers , Mike

I think that you probably meant to type that "He is Mel Sinclair, the current President of the Clan Sinclair Association, Inc USA, because there are NOT several Clans Sinclair (with one being in the USA).

Fabulous pics, Mattie, looks like a great games.
Did you get around to the Clan Cunningham tent? The host there, David, is on xmarks as McPick. He's only posted once but I know he lurks here quite often and he would have been interested in meeting fellow xmarkers.

I just love the train of thought behind "Clan MacMedic"!

Well not quite. The expression of "its not done" is a not so small shot across the bows type comment. So when someone gently whispers in your ear, "its just not done, old boy", if you are wise, then you heed the advice. Ignore it if you will, but don't complain when the roof falls in!
Likewise, the simple "its just not done" comment is just as subtle. Yes, you can do something, but if I were you and if you want to get on in this paticular life, I would consider ceasing "whatever" forthwith!
In both cases, it would be very unwise for the recipient of such wisdom(the comment is not offered glibly) to take the advice lightly.

Wonderful photo shoot Mattie, especially considering the apparently "damp" environs and conditions this year. I see you elected to stay at the Marriott just a block or two from the games----best decision I ever made 4 years ago when I first when to the SMHG.
Thanks for the Clan Forrester tent photo---that will be as close as I will get to it this year.

Our beloved Turpin should have been at the Gordon Tent! We will indeed miss him!
