Rocky sets up a rather large tent at Celtic Fest. Which, btw, is a great good time, and well worth the trip in and of itself.

Hmmm... how far is USA Kilts from Gettysburg? (EDIT: online calculator says it'll be around a 2.5 hour drive.)
Gettysburg itself was quite a haul from my Mom's house in central West Virginia, but it was a side-trip I had been meaning to do for years. I visit her every spring, timed so that I can attend the West Virginia Highland Games in Bridgeport, and Bridgeport is halfway to Gettysburg, so I made it a combination trip.
What are the largest Highland Games near you, Rocky? Do you set up a booth there? Perhaps that would make a great side-trip next year.
(EDIT: some googling has suggested that the largest Games in the area is the Celtic Fest in Bethlehem PA the last weekend in September. Rather smaller, at least pipe band wise, is the Ligonier Games outside of Picksburg. Rocky do you attend either of these? Are either/both of these good XMarkers events?)
Richard,
If you come to Bridgeport this coming year, do take the time to drive east to visit Rocky. I was there several years ago and felt like a kid in a candy shop. From Bridgeport, I'd say you're looking at a 4 hour trip, anyway. But, you can make another stop at Gettysburg, and then visit Valley Forge.
We always attend the Celtic Classic in Bethlehem, and it's a good one (huge, too). That, you'd like. It's always held the last weekend in September, though. And I live only 8 miles from the Ligonier Highland venue, east of 'Picksburgh!' This event is, also, in September, like the 2nd weekend, I believe!??? Unfortunately, Rocky does not attend this event or many others for that matter. His big gig is in Bethlehem.
Anyway, I hope we can meet up again in Bridgeport. Please let me know if you go and I'll mark my calendar.
Here we are several years ago at Bridgeport. OC is a big guy! I fell short in this photo!

Rabbit, try Zazzle.com and PA magnets - looks like they have different sizes and many various themes. This is a great idea and will copy you - thanks! I have a couple of Scottish Saltire magnets (2"X1") wife and I got in Edinburgh last year on our honeymoon and I've been thinking of making mine into kilt pin - attached by magnet.

Yes and no. We DID do a special run of it a few years back in wool. If we get enough people interested, we can do it again.
Even if we don't, you can still have it custom woven in wool (though the price is much higher).

I wove the first length of the PA tartan, in Wilsons' colours of course which looked outstanding. I have a sample somewhere and if I can find it I'll post a picture.
